Maruti Ertiga vs Honda Mobilio vs Datsun GO+ MPV


We all know that the future of the automotive industry in India is of compact segment and MPV's. As each car manufacture is looking forward to introduce their compact cars. And the Indian automotive industry is the best place to introduce the vehicle first. Currently thirty percent of market is fully bounded by the MPVs like Toyota Innova, Maruti Ertiga and Chevrolet Tavera etc.
One thing is sure, retaining the position in the MPV segment will become tough for the car manufactures as some of the upcoming MPVs from the master brand Honda, which is all set to increase their portfolio in the MPV segment with Brio based MPV, which is known as Honda Mobilio outside the India and recently unveiled at the Indonesia International Motor Show 2013. As every one is aware by the engine of Honda's and the technology they used in their cars are very unique.
Honda cars knows for their reliability.  But the competition is getting stiffer and next to join the race would be the Nissan Datsun brand, which is coming after a 32 years of gap. And already company has revealed its first hatchback, Datsun GO, which will launched in 2014. Recently company has unveiled its second product in the form of MPV, Datsun GO+. So the future of MPV segment is bright. And all these two models have to face the tough rivalry from the existing MPV Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which is doing wonders for Maruti in India.


So below here are the comparison between these three MPVs.  


Honda Mobilio MPV :

. Honda Motors, the leading passenger car makers globally unveiled the blueprint of its Brio based MPV at the Mid Year Media Gathering event held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

. The all new Honda Mobilio MPV is expected to be powered by a 1.5 litre petrol mill, which is already  doing its duty in company flagship sedan, Honda City.
. The price of the MPV might falls in the Range of Rs. 6-7 lakh.
. The 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine might get in the Honda Mobilio MPV, which pump out the power of 98bhp along with the toruqe of 200Nm.
. The Japanese auto-maker, Honda will sell this MPV in three exciting variants – the S (MT), the E (MT) and the E (CVT).
. The S (MT) variant of MPV will be laoded with the features like Beige interior color, 1Din CD Audio w/ USB, 2 Speakers, Tilt steering wheel, 2nd & 3rd row seat tumble & recline, Immobilizer, Front and rear Power windows, Power door mirror, Interior lamp, ACC socket, Full size spare tire, Driver seat belt reminder, Dual SRS airbags, Pretensioner and Load limiter seat belt.
. The second variant E(MT) will be equipped with the healthy features like Beige interior color, 2Din CD Audio w/ USB + iPod, 2 Speakers, Tilt steering, 2nd & 3rd row seat tumble & recline, Immobilizer, Front and rear Power windows, Power door mirror, Interior lamp, ACC socket,
. Dual SRS airbags, Pretensioner & Load limiter seat belt, Interior lamp (x2), Seatback pocket (AS), Vanity mirror (AS), Rear speaker, 2nd row slide seat, Keyless entry, Security alarm, Power door lock hand switch, Dual horn, Heater control dial silver, Steering garnish silver, Gear shift knob silver and Double blower AC.
. Now the top end variant E (CVT) of Honda MPV will come loaded with Beige interior color, 2Din CD Audio w/ USB + iPod, 2 Speakers, Tilt steering, 2nd & 3rd row seat tumble & recline, Immobilizer, Front and rear Power windows, Power door mirror, Interior lamp, and Dual SRS ABS.
. company has not yet revealed the launch date of this car in the Indian auto-market, but anticipations are that this MPV will be launched by mid of 2014.


Datsun GO+ MPV :

. Japanese auto-major, Nissan India has unveiled the second Datsun vehicle, the GO+ MPV in the Indonesian market.
. However the company is eying on the Indian automotive market to bring this MPV to increase the sales of the company.
. The Datsun brand will sale both the GO hatchback and GO+ MPV in Indonesia next year.
. As far the price of the MPV will tag below Rs. 6 lakh.
.  The automaker will manufacture the GO twins at Nissan’s Purwakarta plant in Indonesia.
. The Datsun GO+ MPV is a 5+2 seater and will have the length of 3995mm, making it a compact MPV for the Indian market.
. The width of 1635 mm and the height is of 1485 mm, which makes the GO+ really compact in dimensions.
. The wheelbase of 2450 mm which gives the GO+ plus sized interior room.
. One of the key feature of the MPV is the Datsun Mobile Docking Station, which enables smart phone integration into the car.
. The Datsun GO+ MPV will be powered by a 1.2 litre petrol engine, which does the duty in Nissan Micra and will also in Datsun GO hatchback. This engine is
mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox

. Company might bring the 1.5 litre diesel engine for the Indian market.
. The Datsun GO+ MPV is likely to rival the, Maruti Ertiga  and Chevrolet Enjoy MPV, Datsun will manufacture cars in India at the Renault-Nissan plant in Oragadam, near Chennai.


Maruti Ertiga :

. The well known brand in India, Maruti Suzuki India that launched the Ertiga Life Utility Vehicle in India and doing good business.
. The LUV comes with 1.4 litre petrol and 1.3 litre diesel engine.  
. Its 1373 cc K-series VVT Petrol engine generates maximum power of 95 PS at 6000 rpm and maximum torque of 130 Nm at 4000 rpm.
. The 1248 cc DDiS Diesel engine belts out maximum power of 90 PS at 4000 rpm and maximum torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. The company has mated both petrol and diesel in-lines with a 5-speed manual transmission.
. Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes with the range of features like  Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist (BA) & Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Dual front airbags, Remote Central locking, Security Alarm System, Keyless Entry, Power Steering, Head rest for 2nd and 3rd row.
. The fuel efficiency of Maruti Ertiga in petrol engine delivers the mileage of 16.02 kmpl whereas the 1.3 Litre diesel engine of the car delivers the healthy fuel efficiency of 20.77 kmpl.
. As far the price of Ertiga starts from Rs. 5.99 lakh to Rs. 8.17 lakh.
